Sigma – Find Me ft Birdy – Stranger Things’ Eleven

I usually look forward to Sigma’s collaborations because they always seem to have an element of surprise, from upcoming talents such as  Jacob Banks and Maverick Sabre to hitmakers such as Rita Ora, These Days, and Ella Henderson. There’s something in common with these guys,  their voices are unique and nothing but ordinary. Birdy’s voice is one of those too. First made noise when she started covering tracks then collaborating with the likes of Ryan Tedder for her first album, she is one of a kind.

Any fans of Stranger Things? Me, my siblings and a couple of friends got addicted to this new netflix show few months back and couldn’t stop talking about it for weeks. Can’t get over the fact that the adventure of these kids got us on the edge of our seats. Good news is that there’s a second season. Anyway, check out Eleven’s awesome acting and “singing” for the video.

Gryffin – Heading Home ft. Josef Salvat

Josef Salvat’s “Open Season” was one of the best tracks of 2014 for me personally. On the other hand, Gryffin’s remix of Tove Lo’s “Talking Body” caught my attention last year. Gryffin had been remixing songs and been posting it on his soundcloud. What a great way to start his career than with an upcoming artist too. Great teamwork as I think this song brings out the best of both artist.

Tom Misch – Beautiful Escape ft. Zak Abel

This technopop track combined with R&B feels is just one of the offerings of  Tom Misch in his album “Beat Tape 2”. The album features lots of young and upcoming talents, one of them being Zak Abel.

Zak’s known for his collaboration with Gorgon City in the dance track “Unmissable”. He also has released an EP since then. Avicii’s new album features one song with Zak entitled “Ten More Days”. You’ll notice a very distinct R&B/Soul influence in all these tracks; he grew up listening to soul music. Maybe he will release an album on his own soon? A lot of artists are getting exposure by being featured on tracks, to name one is Sam Smith.

Rudimental – Lay It All On Me ft. Ed Sheeran

The first track these two acts collaborated on was Ed Sheeran’s song “Bloodstream”. The group , Rudimental, is known for their Drum’n’Bass genre. Past collaborations include “Not Giving In” featuring John Newman & Alex Clare plus “Feel the Love” which also features John Newman. “We the Generation” is their second album which is gonna be released on October 2, 2015. It will feature more acts such as MNEK, Ella Eyre and Foy Vance.
