Elephante – Plans (feat. Brandyn Burnette)

First encountered “Elephante” a few years back when he was remixing tracks such as Lorde’s Team and Penguin Prison’s Calling Out. It’s always a joy to see DJs like this start on remixing good tracks then go on producing their own music, well just like The Chainsmokers! Saw their first show when they only had one single #selfie and lots of great remixes of indie and alternative tracks which impressed me a lot. Now they’re on radio 24/7. “Plans” by Elephante is my pick off his album which you can check out on spotify. Lyrics like this combined with beats like that, getting lost in our youth….

Tom Odell – Wrong Crowd

Ever since the first single “Wrong Crowd” of this album came out, I was instantly hooked on Tom’s new sound. Wrong Crowd had an indie electronic vibe but at the same time seemed like a radio friendly pop song with it’s catchy chorus. Standout tracks include “Somehow” and “Constellations” which showed the artist’s vulnerable side, kind of mellow slow ballads. “Magnetised” has an acoustic version which you must check out! My personal pick is the track “Concrete” because the instrumentals and lyrics are just on point. In one of his interviews with WSJ, he mentions this is one of the first songs he wrote for the album.
